Returning to ‘Forgotten Island’ with Liza Soberano, H.E.R, and Dave Franco

Back in March, we made our first journey to Forgotten Island by chatting with the incredible stars of the film, Liza Soberano and H.E.R., discussing the exclusive footage we saw at an intimate press trailer event in the Spring. Now, half a year later, we were finally able to see the film, which exceeded all expectations for us and more; comedically, visually, and emotionally. As such, we were given another opportunity to visit with Soberano, H.E.R., and — this time — co-star Dave Franco to dive deeper into the secrets of DreamWorks Animation’s newest classic!

The first time we spoke with H.E.R. and Soberano, we had not seen the film. We had a wonderful conversation about Filipino representation in the movie and Filipino mythology overall. It was truly a special and unforgettable experience that was personal, intimate, and insightful.

Having now seen the movie, we were able to sit down once more with the duo, and the third member of the film’s “Wild Pack,” Franco, who plays the were-aspin Raww in the film. We were able to discuss the film in much more depth this time, while still being able to avoid spoilers. And the resulting interview was exactly like the movie: fun, a little chaotic, and full of so much heart from all three of the film’s stars.
