Universal Creative VP Jon Corfino on Bringing ‘Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift’ to Life

During Media Day for the opening of Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift, we had the opportunity to speak with Jon Corfino, Vice President of Universal Creative at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The creation and development of Universal Studios Hollywood’s newest attraction was by no means an easy feat. While Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift was officially announced during the summer of 2023, the concepts and plans had already been in the works since 2016. After our Media Day preview of the coaster and on-ride POV recordings, I had the chance to sit with executive Jon Corfino. We spoke about not only how the coaster developed from ideation to completion, but also his 25-year history with Universal Studios and how it coincides with the Fast and Furious franchise’s 25th anniversary.
