[Ed note: The season finale was so epic, we couldn’t contain our thoughts in just one post! So to accommodate all the thoughts and feels from the Season 4, Episode 10 “The Children,” we’ve called on the heroic trio that led us the last ten weeks — Anna, Julie, and Alice — to each share their thoughts on the finale and the season overall. Part one is here.]
Wow wow wow wow wow! Best season finale ever!!!!
Tears. So many tears. Both funerals, Tyrion and Jaime, Tyrion and Shae, Arya’s face as she ran across the deck, sailing towards Braavos. And I’ll admit it: I cried for The Hound. He really grew on me, that prickly pear.
My favorite scene was the EPIC battle between Brienne and The Hound. Literal girl power there. I have always wondered why females are so silent or demure when they are in fight scenes. Haven’t directors ever watched women’s tennis with the sound on?
When we give all our strength, we scream barbarically, a fearsome cry that sends chills down the spine, and I’m so glad Gwendoline Christie took it there.
And the cherry on top was Arya telling both of them “Screw you guys, I’m goin’ hooome” anyway.
As for me, I have no idea how to move on with my life, now that this glorious season has come to an end. Do I re-watch the episodes? Do I look up pigeon pie recipes? Do I finally start reading the books?
