Just in time for the world premiere of Suicide Squad this weekend, we are joined by comic book writer Jai Nitz, proud Kansan and creator of DC’s El Diablo, for our series of video interviews from the floor of San Diego Comic-Con 2016!

Keith and Jai reminisce about meeting on a diversity panel at Comic-Con in 2009, the need for more Latino superheroes, and his excitement for the forthcoming Suicide Squad movie. They also discuss the birth, death, and resurrection of El Diablo, Jai’s co-creation with artist Phil Hester and why David Ayer was the perfect director to bring together the diverse roster of characters that make up Suicide Squad.
