NOC Exclusive: Nyla Rose Talks AEW Dynamite’s First Anniversary

Heyyyy! It’s Kuya P AKA Patrick Michael Strange and I recently had the great pleasure of speaking with ‘The Native Beast from Washington DC’ aka AEW‘s own NYLA ROSE to discuss AEW Dynamite‘s One Year Anniversary this Wednesday, October 14! Joining me in the conversation are a couple of my wrestling superfan pals’ Cosplay Superstar, Maki Roll and Award winning Filmmaker, Joe Carabeo of Astray Productions! Check it out!

Nyla Rose (born August 3, 1982) is an American actress and professional wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling, where she held the AEW Women’s World Championship. She also starred in the 2016 Canadian television series The Switch.

Rose became the first openly transgender wrestler in history to sign with a major American promotion in 2019. She is also the first trans wrestler to win a title in a major American promotion when she won the AEW Women’s World Championship the following year. (WIKIPEDIA)

  1. So hype that you had Nyla on your show! It’s great to see other BIPOC like me discussing wrestling in a meaningful way online, and I’m jelly that you got to talk to her! Do you prefer AEW or WWE?

I write about women’s wrestling for the Professional Wrestling Studies Association in a column called Nylons and Midriffs. Check it out if you get the chance!

    1. It’s hard to choose as I like both for different reasons! Thanks for watching and commenting! I’ll check out your column! ~ Patrick
