If you’re like me, Kenan Thompson was your on-screen older brother growing up in the ’90s. If you’re also like me, seeing SNL pair Thompson with the rising star that is Chris Redd should make your heart soar. The two have established so much chemistry it’s no wonder NBC’s new comedy Kenan showcases their incomparable wit and charm to its fullest extent.

Starring Kenan Thompson, Chris Redd, Kimrie Lewis, Dani Lane, Dannah Lane, and Don Johnson, the sitcom follows the goings on of the recently widowed host (Thompson) of Atlanta’s #2 morning show, as he struggles to balance his job and his young daughters despite all the “help” he gets from his father-in-law (Johnson) and his brother/assistant/manager/house guest (Redd). The early praise for the sitcom is warranted, as the writing is sharp and the performances are endearing and absolutely hilarious. It’s also long overdue that Kenan Thompson receive all his roses.

I had the immense honor and privilege of sitting down with the two stars to talk their new show, as well as the trouble they get into while on set together. Kenan premieres immediately following Young Rock on Tuesday, February 16 at 8:30 PM EST on NBC.
