Check Out What the New ‘Powerpuff’ Girls Really Look Like

Last week, the internet went bananas when set photos from The CW’s upcoming live action Powerpuff Girls adaptation leaked. While those cartoon-accurate getups drew scorn and ridicule from some corners of social media, we have an exclusive look at what Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron, and Yana Perrault will really look like when Powerpuff eventually debuts.

To be honest, I was sold on the cartoon-costumes alone. But what we have below is more in line with a CW version of the Powerpuff Girls. Check out the first look at the main heroes and official synopsis of the series below.

The pilot also stars Donald Faison as Professor Utonium, Nicholas Podany as Jojo Mondel, and Robyn Lively as Sara Bellum.

About the show: The Powerpuff Girls used to be America’s pint-sized superheroes, now they’re disillusioned twentysomethings who resent having lost their childhood to crime fighting. Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever? Based on the original Cartoon Network animated series and characters created by Craig McCracken.
