Netflix Gives First Look at ‘Trese’ Anime Series

Tabi-tabi po!

The trailer for Trese is here and it looks so good! The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo’s popular comic book series of the same name brings the black-and-white illustrations to life in color and with animation that looks so beautiful, it makes even the gory parts a stunning sight.

When the underworld unleashes its lore onto the streets of Manila, investigator Alexandra Trese is on the case. Whether that be seeking information from a nuno or having to race a tikbalang, she does not hesitate to show what a hardcore bossing she can be when dealing with the supernatural creatures of Filipino mythology.

Shay Mitchell will be voicing Trese in the English dub, whereas Liza Soberano will be taking her on in the Filipino dub. For the former, she is joined by some of the best of the best of Filipino American talent, such as Jon Jon Briones, Dante Basco, Darren Criss, Nicole Scherzinger, and more.

Trese will become available on Netflix on Friday, June 11.
