Avantika and Michael Bishop Share Their Love of Music and Food in Disney’s ‘Spin’
Disney’s Original Movie Spin finally premieres tonight on The Disney Channel.
As the official NOC Kid Reporter, I got to chat virtually with Disney’s Spin stars Avantika and Michael Bishop about the importance of Spin showcasing the first South Asian family leading a Disney Original Movie; both Avantika and Bishop’s love of music, Indian food, and their characters.
This completes my interviews with the cast — including: Abhay Deol, Aryan Simhadri, Anna Cathcart, Jahbril Cook, and Kerri Medders — and director Manjari Makijany of the anticipated film about an Indian American teenager who discovers her passion for music and has to figure out how to juggle it into her already busy schedule.
