DC’s ‘Batman Unburied’ Finds Its Riddler in Hasan Minhaj

The Batman Unburied podcast has just gotten a little bigger. Previously, it was reported that Winston Duke (Black Panther, Us) would voice Bruce Wayne/Batman, while Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter) would voice his trusted butler/father figure Alfred. The two are headlining the podcast written by David S. Goyer, which promises an original story that tests the limits of Batman’s physical strength as well as his mental capabilities as Gotham City’s greatest protector.

Now, we finally know who’s voicing one of several villains set to make an appearance in the official DC Comics podcast. Comedian Hasan Minhaj will be voicing Edward Nigma a.k.a The Riddler, a particularly puzzling member of Batman’s famous rogues gallery.

Minhaj, who started his rapid climb to the top with The Daily Show, has had several stand-up specials; including one for Netflix. It’s unclear what role Minhaj’s Riddler will have in Batman Unburied just yet, but he’s sure to be a tricky obstacle in Bruce’s path to taking on the main villain of the series, The Harvester.

Joining Minhaj as new additions to the cast are Lance Reddick (The Wire, John Wick) as Bruce Wayne’s father Thomas Wayne, Toks Olagundoye (Castle, DC’s Reign of the Supermen) as his mother Martha, Johnathan Rhys-Davies (Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones) as Dr. Hunter, and Ashly Burch (Horizon: Forbidden West, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands) as reporter Vicki Vale.

Again, it’s still unclear how big of a role any of these characters will play once Batman Unburied finally comes out. We don’t even have an official release date yet. But with the cast now growing a bit larger, here’s hoping DC and Spotify let us get our virtual hands on Batman Unburied as soon as possible.
