DC FanDome Celebrates the 20th Anniversary of ‘Smallville’

When DC first announced they were holding FanDome on October 16, I wondered if there would be any inclusion of Smallville since that date also corresponds with the first time the iconic show about Clark Kent’s high school years aired in 2001.

Well, at DC FanDome today, my question was answered when Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum surprised fans with a special conversation with Tiffany Smith in honor of the show’s 20th anniversary. The dynamic duo was also joined (remotely) by several Smallville alumni.

Not only was the conservation timely for the milestone anniversary, it also comes as Warner Home Video is set to finally release a special box set of the complete series of Smallville on blu-ray.

The groundbreaking, Emmy®-winning 10-season hit that redefined the origins of the world’s greatest super hero is all here — from Krypton refugee Kal-El’s arrival on Earth through his tumultuous teen years to Clark Kent’s final steps toward embracing his destiny as the Man of Steel. Relive a decade’s worth of thrills in fantastic adventures full of action, heart and humor in abundance, all anchored by the marvelous performance of Tom Welling at its center. Savor again the series’ thoughtful and imaginative integration and reinvention of the iconic characters of DC lore. And let your spirits be lifted up, up and away.

Smallville: The Complete Series 20th Anniversary Edition is coming to Blu-ray for the first-time ever on October 19 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
