NOC Interview: ‘Last Night in Soho’ with Thomasin McKenzie

Edgar Wright’s latest masterpiece, Last Night in Soho, is now scaring up theaters! It is a fanciful and beautifully crafted film, that serves as a stunning indictment to toxic masculinity, and the trauma it can cause women. Thankfully, the film is led by the strongest female protagonists ever, Thomasin McKenzie, who plays Ellie, and Anya Taylor-Joy, who plays Sandy.

And to celebrate the release of the film, the Nerds of Color were given the opportunity to speak with the charming, talented, charismatic lead of the film, herself, McKenzie! Now McKenzie has made an indellible mark on Hollywood, but for those of you who may not be familiar with her work, she was absolutely stellar as Elsa in Taika Waitit’s Jojo Rabbit, and she’s even more amazing in Last Night in Soho!

Take a look at what she had to say about her role in the film right here:

The film is as haunting as it is thought provoking, so if you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, I encourage you to make this your Halloween film of choice this weekend!

Last Night in Soho is now playing in theaters everywhere!
