NOC Interview: Skylar Astin Talks ‘Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas’

Skylar Astin reprises his role as Max Richman in Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas, which is a new TV movie based on the Emmy-winning show Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. The holiday film will begin streaming December 1 on The Roku Channel.

The film picks up where season two left off, continuing Zoey’s journey as she navigates work, family, love, and everything in between. On her first holiday without her father, Zoey attempts to create a magical Christmas for her family just like the ones Mitch used to do.

Astin is known for his role as Jesse in Pitch Perfect as well as Pitch Perfect 2. Other credits include Hamlet 2, Cavemen, Ground Floor, Flock of Dudes, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Secret Society of Second Born Royals, Graves, Hot Air, 21 & Over, Halt and Catch Fire, Cavemen, The Online Gamer, Speech & Debate, and Ghosts of War. He has lent his voice to characters in Wreck-It Ralph, TrollsTopia, Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, and Monkey Up.
