Everyone’s favorite flora colossus is back in a new series of shorts hitting Disney+ later this summer!

In 2014, the world was introduced to the Guardians of the Galaxy! And out of a whole team of amazing breakthrough characters, the biggest breakout was the gentle and hilarious Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel). Sadly, that iteration of Groot met his end at the conclusion of the first film, but thankfully, a new Groot was spawned, and the world met Baby Groot!

Between Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Avengers: Infinity War, we see Baby Groot rapidly become Tween Groot, so we didn’t get to spend as much time with the adorable little tyke as we wanted to. Suffice it to say, Marvel Studios now has a show for this! And coming August 10 to Disney+, we’ll get to see the adorable adventures of Baby Groot between Guardians Vol.2 and Infinity War in a series of animated shorts called I Am Groot.

I Am Groot is a collection of five original shorts starring Baby Groot, everyone’s favorite little tree, and will feature several new and unusual characters. All five shorts will be available for viewers to watch upon launch. Guardians maestro James Gunn will be Executive Producing alongside Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Brad Winderbaum.
