Pressured by their parents to find spouses, Asha (Pallavi Sharda) and Ravi (Suraj Sharma) pretend to date in order to survive a summer of weddings— but find themselves falling for each other as they struggle to balance who they are with who their parents want them to be.

Sharda’s recent international credits include Tom and Jerry, The One, the Aussie comedy Retrograde, Audible original Slushy, Les Norton, Beecham House, and Lion. In 2022, she will star in the Australian Foxtel drama The Twelve. Pallavi is the first South Asian to essay leading roles in both Australian film and television. She became the first Australian Bollywood leading lady, starring in films such as Begum Jaan and Hawaizaada. Through her work on and off screen, Pallavi has been an ardent advocate for intercultural communication and the representation of South Asian cultures through the performing arts. She is the founder of Bodhini Labs, a collaborative space for story-telling and disrupting the gaze.
