The sequel to How I Met Your Mother is finally here! In honor of the hilarious new series, I had the chance to chat with Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Suraj Sharma, Chris Lowell, and Tien Tran. After the January 18 premiere, new episodes of How I Met Your Father will be released Tuesdays on Hulu.
In the near future, Sophie is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the year 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.

Francia Raisa stars as Valentina. The actress can also currently be seen as Ana Torres on Freeform’s Grown-ish. Her other notable credits include Bring it on: All or Nothing, The Mindy Project, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and Dear White People.

The actor can be seen in Brightest Star, Katie Says Goodbye, Promising Young Woman, Graduation, The Help, Love and Honor, Breaking News in Yuba County, Up in the Air, as well as Complete Unknown.

Tien Tran stars as Ellen. She is a standup comedian, writer, and actress. Most recently, she served as a writer on Showtime’s Work In Progress and filmed a special for Comedy Central’s Stand-Up. In 2018, Tran participated in CBS’ Diversity Showcase and became Head Writer for the showcase the following year. In 2017, she was featured in Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch Chicago Showcase. The actress can also be seen in Space Force, EASY, Sherman’s Showcase, and Hot Date.
