Hot off the heels of their announcements at D23, the Marvel Studios news train keeps on chugging, as a new writer has been announced for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty!
In an exclusive from Deadline, it seems the penultimate chapter of The Multiverse Saga (as far as we know) has found its writer in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania scribe, Jeff Loveness. The veteran Rick and Morty writer is among the many writers from the show to recently be recruited to put their stamp on the MCU, with Michael Waldron showrunning season 1 of Loki while penning Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and “Pickle Rick” writer Jessica Gao showrunning She-Hulk; a move that has yielded mixed results among the fan community, to say the least.

Loveness’ script will thankfully be helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who did excellent work on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, one of the more universally praised projects to come out of Phase 4. So with their combined forces, it’s possible the fifth Avengers film could turn out to be both hilarious and action packed.
Time will tell. But I think we’re all waiting on those pins and needles to see the Avengers assemble once more!
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be hitting theaters May 2, 2025
