Christmas time has come. That means toys for everyone. And for Marvel Studios fans, it means the release of their latest Special Presentation, The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special. Director James Gunn reimagines the Christmas classic film with a bit of an MCU flair and some perfectly curated needle drops that embrace everything we love about the ragtag group and the holidays, while also throwing in a few surprises as well.
In The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, Mantis (Pom Klementieff) and Drax (Dave Bautista) experience a series of comedic misadventures in Hollywood, California in order to find the perfect Christmas gift for Peter Quill (Chris Pratt). Along the way, they make some new friends while also discovering the true meaning of the holidays.
The Nerds of Color had the chance to talk to Klementieff about James Gunn’s latest Marvel project, creating a chemistry with co-stars Bautista and Kevin Bacon, some of her favorite music, and maybe a surprise about the future of the MCU. That last little bit is up for you to decide.
Marvel Studios’ The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special debuts exclusively on Disney+ on November 25, 2022.
