‘Joy Ride’ Celebrates Individuality with Character Posters

It’s the last day of AAPI Heritage month, Lionsgate gifted audiences with special character posters from their new comedy, Joy Ride. The posters speak for themselves on each of their unique personalities. The four main characters consists of Audrey (Ashley Park), the responsible one; Lolo (Sherry Cola), the mouthy fun one; Kat (Stephanie Hsu), the almost-famous one; and, Deadeye (Sabrina Wu), the chaotic — and unexpected — one.

Directed by Adele Lim, Joy Ride tells the story of four friends going on an adventure through Asia to find Audrey’s birth mom. As they travel together, they run into some crazy shenanigans and discover what the true meaning of friendship is.

The reviews for the film are incredible — boasting a 100% since its premiere at SXSW this year. The film is written by Lim, Cherry Chevapravatdumrong, and Teresa Hsiao. The film also stars Ronny Chieng, Lori Tan Chinn, David Denman, Annie Mumolo, Desmond Chiam, Alexander Hoge, and Chris Pang.

Joy Ride releases in theaters on July 7.
