Disneyland Resort Reveals After Dark Themes and Dates

Disneyland After Dark events offer guests a fun way to experience the park in a way that they couldn’t if they went on any ordinary day. Recent Star Wars nights and Throwback nights have proven very popular amongst guests. Now, the park has more to offer and they have released the themes and dates for their After Dark events of 2024.

For those unfamiliar with Disneyland After Dark, they are separate ticketed events that run for approximately three hours after park operations have ceased for the day. This means less crowds and shorter wait times for some of the more popular rides. However, access to the entire park may be limited since Fireworks are operated near Toontown. Still, there are other things to consider when attending one of these After Dark events like unique entertainment, beloved and sometimes rare character appearances, specialty food, beverage, and merchandise offerings, and so much more! 

Sweethearts’ Nite at Disneyland Park (Jan. 23, 25, 30; Feb. 1, 6, 8, 12 and 14): Heartwarming offerings on eight different nights celebrate the love all around us. A limited number of Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts’ Nite tickets will go on pre-sale for Magic Key holders beginning Dec. 12, 2023 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT) on Disneyland.com. On Dec. 14, 2023 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT), tickets will go on sale to the general public.

Sweethearts’ Nite has plenty to offer for the romantic at heart, including a royal cavalcade will make its way through Disneyland park, offering an enchanting gathering of some of Disney’s favorite royals, transported by equally splendid equines. Guests will also have the opportunity to dance along with princesses, princes and Disney characters at the evening’s royal ball.

Disneyland will also set the mood by providing divine lighting, fabulous projections and the music of Disney love songs create the ultimate atmosphere for romance, friendship and family throughout the park. Guests can also enjoy many sweet treats to indulge in and themed savory items available throughout the park, created especially for Sweethearts’ Nite. New offerings will include the shortbread cookie churro with strawberry cheesecake dipping sauce and the Café Daisy fried heart-shaped ravioli, plus some returning and reimagined favorites like the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe Chocolate & Strawberry-stuffed croissant. Don’t forget to take plenty of photos with your sweetheart at the unique photo backdrops will offer you an opportunity to step inside some of Disney’s iconic scenes of love and friendship, including Lady and the Tramp, Tangled, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, and more.

NEW! Disney Channel Nite at Disneyland Park (March 5 and 7): Nostalgic celebration with themed offerings from favorite shows and movies across various Disney Channel eras, such as the High School Musical pep rally and Phineas and Ferb dance party. A limited number of Disneyland After Dark: Disney Channel Nite tickets will go on pre-sale for Magic Key holders beginning Dec. 12, 2023 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT) on Disneyland.com. On Dec. 14, 2023 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT), tickets will go on sale to the general public.

For the Disney Channel fan, Disneyland has plans for a Disney Channel Nite. This means guests can experience a High School Musical pep rally, attend a high-energy Phineas and Ferb dance party at the stage in Tomorrowland, and karaoke some of their favorite Camp Rock songs.

There will also be themed photo-ops representing favorite Disney Channel shows and movies, including Lizzie McGuire, The Cheetah Girls, Teen Beach Movie and more, will make you the star! Of course, guests are more than welcomed to enjoy specially themed foods and snacks all evening long. A few items to expect are the mini banana burritos and tropical banana punch at Red Rose Taverne, plus chili cheese loaded nachos, and s’mores donut skewer from Café Daisy.

The announcement also confirmed the return of Star Wars Nite at Disneyland Park (April 16, 18, 23, 25, 30; May 2, 7 and 9) and Pride Nite at Disneyland Park (June 18 & 20). While there are no full details about these After Dark events, we can expect to hear more about it in the coming months leading up to it.
