Netflix released a behind-the-scene look at the making of the dark family comedy, The Brothers Sun.

People seem to think the series is a serious gangster show, but it’s so much more than that. Director and executive producer Kevin Tancharoen says otherwise in the featurette, “The Brothers Sun is an action family drama show. One brother stayed in LA and was naïve to the whole family business and one that was knee-deep in the family business.”

The series touches on Asian immigrant families and one who was raised Asian American (Sam Li as Bruce Sun) and one who was raised in Taiwan (Justin Chien as Charles Sun), leaving a cultural barrier between the two. Both of which has Michelle Yeoh playing their mother, Mama Sun.
