Disneyland Bringing Nighttime Spectaculars and Magical Parades Back in 2024

Disneyland Resort has announced some of the entertainment offerings for the 2024 season, some of which are making their return. Parades like the Magic Happens parade will once again bring moments of magic from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films to life at Disneyland Park, beginning February 2.

Magic Happens returns adds to the robust slate of shows and performances guests can experience throughout the year. Also, Disney California Adventure is scheduled to have some new shows of their own, and Fantasmic will also be making its grand return after going on a temporary hiatus earlier this year.

The return of Magic Happens Parade is a part of the Disney100 Celebration at Disneyland Resort. With a wave of his wand, Mickey Mouse leads a cavalcade of fabulous floats, whimsically costumed performers and popular Disney pals around the park and into your hearts — all while moving to a high-energy contemporary musical score that puts a spin on classic Disney hits. In addition, a stirring song co-composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall brings some of your favorite Disney tales to life like never before.

Guests will be able to see Moana ride the crest of a beautiful wave in her voyager canoe, followed by Coco’s guitar-strumming Miguel joined by his dog Danté and other fantastical spirit animals and behold the enchanted forest from Frozen 2 as Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven pass by. The parade’s grand finale commemorates memorable moments from Disney classics in an incredible procession that’s not to be missed!

Additionally, Disneyland Park will present two nighttime spectaculars for a limited time in early 2024, before Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular returns April 26 as part of the resort-wide Pixar Fest.

Mickey’s Mix Magic will perform in Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif., Jan. 8-March 21 and April 15-25, 2024. The energetic Mickey’s Mix Magic performs Jan. 8-March 21 and April 15-25, enhanced with fireworks on select evenings. The laser light show extravaganza bursting with magical song tracks, kaleidoscopic projections and exciting lights and lasers guaranteed to electrify your soul! It’s a spectacular that uses state-of-the-art projection technology Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and the façade of “it’s a small world” into dazzling displays of sight, sound and color. And to make it even more immersive, fireworks will be chroeographed into the light show on select nights, making the experience even more hip and magical. Since the fireworks only appear on select nights, its best that you plan ahead and make sure that there are fireworks for the day that you intend to go.

“Wondrous Journeys” returns for a special presentation in the spring, performing nightly with fireworks, March 22-April 14.

“Fantasmic!,” Disney’s popular and longest-running nighttime spectacular, returns to the Rivers of America in Disneyland Park on May 24, 2024. In this treasured show, fantastic events and images from Disney stories come to life through soaring music, dozens of live performers, character appearances and state-of-the-art projections.
