Super Bowl Spot for ‘Twisters’ Reveals First Look at the Legacy Sequel

For those Gen Z’ers out there, Twister was a movie in 1996 that starred Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton as storm chasers following the paths of destruction left behind by giant tornadoes. It was a huge box office smash, becoming the second highest grossing film of that year domestically, behind Independence Day.

Now 28 years later we are finally getting a legacy sequel, officially titled Twisters. And today we got our first look at the anticipated new film!

Directed by Minari’s Lee Isaac Chung, this time around, the ensemble of storm chasers will be led by Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell. And joining them will be Anthony Ramos, Sasha Lane, and Brandon Perea, as their crack team, risking their lives to cross over into the eyes of the storms.
