Refiners Must Report Back to the Office When ‘Severance’ Returns in January

The teaser for the long awaited second season of Severance is here, announcing the award-winning phenomenon finally comes back to Apple TV+ this January.

Returning to screens two-and-a-half years after the first season’s mind-blowing finale dropped cliffhanger after cliffhanger — Does Mark find Gemma? Did Innie-Helly really expose Lumon? Will Dylan survive and see his kids again? — Severance season two seems to pick up the pieces of that finale fallout.

In the teaser, Mark returns to the bowels of the Lumon offices seemingly agitated by his experience in the outside world. Things inside are not what they seem since he encounters an entirely new crew of refiners but is greeted by Michick and a bouquet of balloons welcoming him with the implication that a lot of time has passed since he was last at work.

Perhaps the show picks up in real time and three years have passed between the events of season one and season two? We’ll find out when the first episode of Severance season two drops on January 17, 2025.
