It’s been a while since we visited the New England haven of Derry, Maine. After all, vacations there tend to end pretty tragically. However, thanks to the magic of HBO, we’ll be booking another stay in the form of the new upcoming series IT: Welcome to Derry. And this week, we got our first look at the new project.

IT: Welcome to Derry is, of course, coming to us from the Muschiettis. Andy Muschietti  will be directing four of the episodes of the nine-episode series. Thus, you can guarantee there will be spooky, creepy moments consistent with the horrors we witnessed in both IT Chapter One and Chapter Two. The series will star Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and, of course, Bill Skarsgård. Also, based on the images we just received, it looks to be a period piece.

So far, there’s no word yet on when IT: Welcome to Derry will debut. However, it’s already got us shaking in our boots. With a cast like that, and in the hands of the masterminds behind IT, we can easily consider it one of the most anticipated new projects coming to HBO!
