Nicholas Galitzine Has the Power (Sword) in New ‘Masters of the Universe’ Image

By the power of Grayskull, we have the first official look at Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man in a teaser image from Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming live action Masters of the Universe adaptation, due in theaters next year.

Though we don’t see his face, He-Man’s iconic Power Sword is front and center, as is Galitzine’s bulked up physique and cartoon-inspired costume. Clearly, the 2026 film — directed by Bumblebee helmer Travis Knight — is taking its cues from the classic ’80s animated series and action figure line, moreso than the 1987 film starring Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella did, at least.

One thing the new film shares with it’s nearly 40-year old counterpart is that most of the action will take place on Earth instead of Eternia. Perhaps Amazon felt the need to release a more classic feeling image of He-Man after set photos of a decidedly Earth-bound Prince Adam surfaced on the internet a few weeks ago.
