This week, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Orlando completed their Halloween Horror Nights haunted house announcements, setting off the unofficial start of this year’s Halloween season.
Currently, Universal Studios Hollywood has a haunted house lineup that includes Five Nights at Freddy’s, Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America, Jason Universe, Fallout, Scarecrow: Music by Slash, Terrifier, WWE Presents: The Horrors of the Wyatt Sicks, and Poltergeist.
In addition to these eight standalone houses, HHN Hollywood will see the return of Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse. This Hollywood-exclusive attraction will feature popular villains celebrating the last 15 years of Blumhouse films. Guests will board the tram at the Studio Tour boarding zone, then be transported into the backlot where upon exiting, they will make their way through scare zones featuring characters from films such as M3GAN, The Purge, Happy Death Day, The Black Phone 2, and more.
Select rides will remain open for a limited time during each night of the event. Jurassic World: The Ride, Transformers The Ride — 3D, Revenge of the Mummy, and the attractions within The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be open to HHN guests only.
Over on the east coast, Universal Orlando will boast ten haunted houses for their massive HHN lineup. While some of the houses will be the same as Hollywood (such as Five Nights at Freddy’s and Fallout), Orlando will feature several original houses including Hatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters, Dolls: Let’s Play Dead, Grave of Flesh, Gálkn: Monsters of the North, and El Artista: A Spanish Haunting.
If you’re looking to take a break between scares, you can enjoy select rides such as Men in Black: Alien Attack, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, and more. In Diagon Alley, guests will be able to interact with character actors portraying Death Eaters. Scare zones throughout the Orlando theme park will include The Origins of Horror, Masquerade: Dance with Death, The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane, and Mutations: Toxic Twenties. These scare zones will feature scare actors, set dressings, and tone-setting sound effects throughout several pathways within the theme park.

Both coasts currently have themed merchandise available for purchase in-person and online. This year’s merch availability includes a wide array of items such as shirts, magnets, cups, lanyards, candles, and backpacks. Themed food and beverage options for both parks will be announced in the coming days, and they are sure to provide a unique spin on the popular horror films that will be featured throughout the theme parks.
Tickets to Halloween Horror Nights can be purchased online. The Hollywood event will run on select evenings from September 4 through November 2, 2025. The Orlando event will run on select evenings from August 29 through November 2, 2025.
