Emma Myers and Joy Sunday portray Enid Sinclair and Bianca Barclay on Netflix’s Wednesday. Season 2 Part 1 is now streaming, and Part 2 will premiere on September 3. I spoke with the actresses about their individual storylines, evolving with their characters, meaningful fan interactions, moments when art imitated life, and more.

Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.
Myers reflected on what she considers to be the most rewarding moments with fans of the show, sharing, “I’ve had so many people dressed as me come up to me and tell me that Enid has changed their confidence, and they’re much more confident and able to do things that they wanted to do, and don’t feel like they have to hide their personalities, which is so, so lovely.”

“You can probably count on your hands the amount of dark skinned Black women that appear on a scale like this, and I think just in that, it’s really meaningful for a lot of young girls to see that. Then adding on top of that, the shaved head is pretty, you know, and I decided to shave my head when I was in high school, just like, off the cuff, and so, now that young girls have a reference for that is pretty cool,” Sunday expressed. “I think even just the arc of my character in this season, getting to show that vulnerability, and showing her receiving help and not needing to necessarily ask for it is pretty cool.”
