The Best Comic-Con Offsites of SDCC 2026

It’s been almost two weeks since San Diego Comic-Con, and, as you can tell, we’re still not over it! However, in addition to the panels and booths all over the convention center, Comic-Con is also home to some of the most innovative and extraordinarily fun offsite experiences and parties. We recapped one of the best for you all so far with the Lanterns Training Headquarters. Now it’s time to take a look at some of our other favorites.

Offsites are among the most coveted and difficult experiences to get into at San Diego Comic-Con. Often, as soon as tickets for an offsite drop, within two to three minutes, they sell out. Thankfully, we were able to experience some really terrific, and fun offsites that we want to recap for anyone who was unable to attend.

STUART FAILS TO SAVE THE UNIVERSE

HBO and WB brought a bit of Pasadena to San Diego, by opening up Stuart Bloom’s comic book shop from The Big Bang Theory near the fabled Gaslamp District. To promote the spinoff series, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, guests were invited to check out The Comic Center of Pasadena to get thrusted into an adventure through multiple dimensions, to help Stuart save fail to save the universe. And the results were a complete blast.

We started out at the main timeline’s comic book store, where associates of Stuart set us up with the offsite’s storyline. Stuart messed up a device built by Leonard, Sheldon, and Howard, which created portals that ripped through space and time. To fix the problem, guests were given a membership card to the comic book store, and thrown through a portal to another dimension. As soon as they arrived at the parallel dimension’s comic book shop, they were allowed to scan their membership card at different stations to take quizzes that resulted in building out personality profiles for them. As soon as they helped Stuart fix the device, they were transported back to the regular dimension, where shop clerks provided them with trading cards representing the personality types they were assigned after their quiz results, a t-shirt, a comic book, and a pack of red vines.

All in all it was a fun and innovative way to promote the new HBO Max series, with daily standbys that extended around the block for hours. The activation really embodied the chaotic nature of the series, complete with the trademark sense of humor we’ve grown used to with The Big Bang Theory. ADULT SWIM ON THE GREEN

Every year, Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim pulls out all the stops to give fans the most insane, surreal, hilarious, and fun experience possible at Comic-Con. This year was no exception.

Upon entering the offsite, the crew greeted fans with a series of booths and activities. There was a blind box SWAG giveaway box called “Free Holes,” a mini-golf course, a mechanical bull, a President Curtis-inspired shooting gallery, and the big, major attraction for Adult Swim’s annual return: An actual carnival attraction themed to Rick and Morty.

The Rick and Morty Rambler was absolutely a huge and unparalleled highlight that we’ve never seen in years past! The brilliance of the attraction was taking a very simple spinner ride and sticking it in a 360 dome experience, to make something both fun and psychedelic. It was a perfect fit for the Rick and Morty and Adult Swim brands too, full of surrealism and chaotic silliness. It was an absolute blast and a true exhilarating experience that this year’s Comic-Con really needed.

FANDOM ENTERTAINMENT PARTY 2026

By far, the so-called hottest and most difficult party ticket to obtain every year at every Comic-Con is Fandom Entertainment’s annual SDCC Party. In years past, they’ve managed to bring huge acts, like Jason Derulo and All-American Rejects. And this year was no different, as Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day brought his group, The Coverups, to play some incredible tributes to classic acts like David Bowie, The Clash, and Tiffany. As a lifelong Green Day fan, watching Armstrong and his Coverups family absolutely crush songs like “Should I Stay or Should I Go” and “Ziggy Stardust” was an absolute delight. This may, in fact, be one of the rare times I’ve stayed all the way through a party at Comic-Con, because it was just completely stellar!

Additionally, there was a “Make Your Own” trucker hat station, and several photo ops with Master Chief to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first Halo. It was honestly an absolute blast! Here’s a quick look at our epic experience at the 2026 Fandom Entertainment Comic-Con party:

Overall, 2026’s Comic-Con was an embarrassment of riches as far as offsites were concerned. It was a perfect blend of immersive, nerdy, exciting, surreal, and epic! We had an incredible adventure joining the Green Lantern Corps, comic shopping at the same store as The Big Bang Theory crew, journeying through Rick Sanchez’s mind, and screaming to the top of our lungs with Billie Joe Armstrong! As exhausting as it can be trying to do everything you can in five days, memorable experiences like this remind you that the spoils are ultimately worth the sacrifice! We had an incredible time in 2026, and now, it’s up to next Comic-Con to up the ante. Bring it on!
