It’s time to jam Bebop fans! Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop debuts today! And while it isn’t perfect, it’s still pretty fun in a pretty campy way. However, the one thing the show gets right is the music! And heavily inspired by the terrific music of the original anime, the music in the new adaptation pays homage, while managing to carve out its own identity for itself (much like the show as a whole). And someone who knows all about that is iconic DJ Steve Aoki!

So much like my review for Snake Eyes, I will set a disclaimer about the fact that I’m by no means a hardcore Cowboy Bebop fan. I’ve seen the full series once through in my life, and I do like it. And I’ve rewatched some of my favorite episodes numerous times, particularly in preparation for the release of this series. But I’m not as emotionally attached or invested in the series as many out there are.

Ahead of its premiere this October on the Disney Channel, the animated buddy-comedy The Ghost and Molly McGree has been renewed for a second season! According to Billboard, Run the Jewels rapper Killer Mike has been cast in a cameo role of the award-winning Netflix series Ozark. The fourth and final season will close out what has been an extraordinary run for the Byrdes, from dysfunctional suburbanites to underdog money-launderers we can’t help but root for. Details of his role, exclusive to Billboard, include that his character runs into Julia Garner’s iconic Ruth Langmore when she’s at the end of her rope.

Netflix has released the cast for My Little Pony: A New Generation and it’s AMAZING! The cast includes Vanessa Hudgens, Kimiko Glenn, James Marsden, Sofia Carson, and Liza Koshy. The news was revealed through a video with each cast member introducing themselves and their characters. They also shared the official release date: September 24.

Jenn Kaytin Robinson’s Strangers is a new dark comedy about two girls who team up to go after the other’s bully. The talented cast so far includes Camila Mendes, Maya Hawke, Austin Abrams, Alisha Boe, Rish Shah, Talia Ryder, Paris Berelc, Jonathan Daviss, Maia Reficco, Ava Capri, and Sophie Turner. Robinson is known for her work on Someone Great and Sweet/Vicious.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson brought one of Marvel’s fastest superheroes to life in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. We all know how that ended, but though his time with the character was short-lived, Johnson’s take amassed a fanbase that arguably rivals his Kick Ass co-star Evan Peters’ version from the X-Men films.
Now, ATJ is returning to the Marvel universe, but instead of speeding alongside the world’s finest, he’ll be taking his sweet time hunting them down; starting with Spider-Man.
