Disney Channel’s ‘The Ghost and Molly McGee’ Already Greenlit for a Second Season

Ahead of its premiere this October on the Disney Channel, the animated buddy-comedy The Ghost and Molly McGree has been renewed for a second season! Executive produced by Bill Motz, Bob Roth, and Steve Loter, the series follows Thai American tween Molly McGee (Ashly Burch), who lives to make the world a better place, and grumpy ghost Scratch (Dana Snyder), who is always miserable, as they go through life together and build this unexpected friendship.

Joining Burch and Snyder is Jordan Klepper as the voice of Pete, Molly’s anxiously idealistic father; Sumalee Montano as the voice of Sharon and Grandma Nin, Molly’s creatively pragmatic mother and adoring grandmother, respectively; and Michaela Dietz as the voice of Darryl, Molly’s mischievously entrepreneurial brother.

The first season will also see tons of amazing guest stars, such as Kelsey Grammer, Natasha Rothwell, Greta Gerwig, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jane Lynch, Jenifer Lewis, Danny Trejo, Aparna Nancherla, Pamela Adlon, Patton Oswalt, D’Arcy Carden, Thomas Lennon, Jessica Keenan Wynn, and Sean Giambrone.

Expect to also see a trio of Chibi Tiny Tales shorts in October on Disney Channel, YouTube, and DisneyNOW, featuring Chibi-style versions of Molly and Scratch as they embark on wild adventures, including visiting The Haunted Mansion. To even get fans more excited, DisneyNOW will launch a time-manahement game called Bandshell Boo-nanza!, in which players must perform a variety of fun-filled tasks in order to help Molly throw the best multiday talent show ever. A digital EP, Music from The Ghost and Molly McGee, featuring five original songs from the series, is set for release Friday, October 1, on Walt Disney Records. Additionally, an exclusive The Ghost and Molly McGee design will launch at Amazon.com/DisneyChannel this fall.

The Ghost and Molly McGee premieres on October 1. New episodes roll out Saturdays through November 27 on Disney Channel, with episodes available on Disney+.
