Jesse Plemons is set to star opposite Elizabeth Olsen in the new Max Original limited series Love and Death as “Allan Gore.” Olsen was previously announced to portray “Candy Montgomery.” Love and Death is produced by Lionsgate. Executive producers include David E. Kelley (who will also write the series) through David E. Kelley Productions, Nicole Kidman and Per Saari through Blossom Films, Lesli Linka Glatter (director of the series), Scott Brown and Megan Creydt through Texas Monthly, Matthew Tinker, Michael Klick, and Helen Verno.

Love and Death is inspired by the book Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs and a collection of articles from Texas Monthly (Love & Death in Silicon Prairie, Part I & II).

Plemons landed his breakout role in Friday Night Lights and continued to star in more iconic television roles, such as Fargo for which he was nominated for an Emmy and won a Critic’s Choice Award. He starred in the final two seasons of Breaking Bad and its follow-up feature film, El Camino. The actor was also nominated for an Emmy for his role in Black Mirror as well for a Spirit Award for his work in Other People.
Most recently, Plemons can be seen in I’m Thinking of Ending Things and Judas and the Black Messiah. The actor has some upcoming credits as well, such as Jungle Cruise, Antlers, The Power of the Dog, and Killers of the Flower Moon.
