Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle Discuss Season 3 of ‘You’

Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle portray Sherry and Cary Conrad in Netflix’s hit thriller series, YOU. The series is based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name. The highly anticipated third season will be a total of 10 episodes and begin streaming on October 15.

In Season 3, Joe and Love, now married and raising their baby, have moved to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers, and Insta-famous biohackers. Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness. And then there’s his heart. Could the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door? Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing. But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to your tricks? Well, that’ll prove a much more complicated escape.

Grant earned a Tony nomination in 2013 for her performance as Cassandra in the Broadway play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Additionally, she was in the Shakespeare in the Parks production of A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream. For four years, the actress portrayed Sonja Percy in the CBS drama NCIS: New Orleans. In 2016, she starred in the PBS series Mercy Street. Other television credits include The Santa Clarita Diet, The Good Wife, Bones, and Melissa & Joey. Grant has also long been an advocate for proper hair care and created Four Natural Haircare to help women with Type 4 hair maximize, define, restore, and love their curls.

Van Winkle previously starred in TNT’s The Last Ship for five seasons. Recently, the actor became a series regular on CBS’s Instinct. Upcoming, he can be seen in the CBS drama pilot Good Sam. Other notable television roles include recurring on CW’s Hart of Dixie and ABC’S Happy Endings. Notable feature roles include Friday the 13th, Transformers, Meet the Spartans, and Accepted. He has also been a proud mentor in the Big Brother / Big Sister Organization since 2011 as well as a Global Ambassador to the non-profit organization build On.
