NOC Interview: Nina Dobrev, Darren Barnet, and Jimmy O. Yang on Netflix’s ‘Love Hard’

Nina Dobrev, Darren Barnet, and Jimmy O. Yang star in Netflix’s new film, Love Hard. The holiday romantic comedy premieres on November 5. Love Hard tells the tale of an LA girl, unlucky in love, falling for a guy on a dating app. She decides to surprise him for the holidays, only to find out that she’s been catfished.

After meeting her dream guy on a dating app, a writer (Nina Dobrev) decides to fly cross-country to surprise her perfect match (Darren Barnet) for the holidays—only to learn she’s been catfished by his childhood friend (Jimmy O. Yang).

Dobrev is best known for her roles in The Vampire Diaries and Degrassi: The Next Generation. The actress can also be seen in Fam. Her notable film credits include The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Flatliners, Crash Pad, Dog Days, Let’s Be Cops, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Then Came You, Run This Town, and Lucky Day. Upcoming, she is set to star in The Out-Laws.

Barnet is best known for his role as Paxton in Netflix’s hit series, Never Have I Ever. Recently, the actor can be seen in Untitled Horror Movie. Other notable credits and guest roles include American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules, S.W.A.T., Simi Valley, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Criminal Minds, and This Is Us.

Yang’s notable film work includes Crazy Rich Asians, Life of the Party, Fantasy Island, The Opening Act, Patriots Day, Like a Boss, and The Happytime Murders. On television, the actor can be seen in Silicon Valley, Space Force, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Fresh Off the Boat. Upcoming, he is set to star in Me Time.
