The name Bong Joon Ho is one that instills excitement into every cinephile out there. Right up there with Spielberg, Tarantino, del Toro, and Nolan, any time a Bong project is announced, the film world stops, and speculates about what the master has up his sleeve.
And you don’t develop a reputation like that without living up to the lofty expectations every time. And today, we got a first glimpse at his next project.
Announced by Warner Bros., Mickey 17 is based on the novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton, and will be directed, produced, and adapted for the screen by Bong. It stars Robert Pattinson, Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo. And will be released March 29, 2024.
