Disneyland Resort Announces Two Retail Shops Inspired by ‘The Princess and the Frog’

The trip to the bayou just got a little more fun for Disneyland guests as Critter Country at the Disneyland Resort will be home to two new reimagined retail shops inspired by The Princess and The Frog. These new enhancements will be perfect for when “Tiana’s Adventure” opens later this year.

Ray’s Berets (currently known as The Briar Patch) will offer headwear, apparel, accessories, toys and more. Deeper into the land, guests will be able to shop for apparel, accessories, home décor and more featuring Princess Tiana at Louis’ Critter Club (currently the left-hand side of Pooh Corner).

The middle and treats side of Pooh Corner will remain open and continue to offer must-have merchandise from Hundred Acre Wood, including sweets like the Tigger marshmallow tails.

To make way for these exciting enhancements to the land, Critter Country will temporarily close beginning May 1, 2024.

Ray’s Berets (currently The Briar Patch) will be the best place for guests to shop for headwear, apparel, accessories, toys and more with firefly Raymond and his firefly kin in the coziest cabin in Critter Country at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif. This reimagined merchandise location inspired by “The Princess and the Frog” will further immerse guests into Princess Tiana’s story, along with the opening of the attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, later this year. Teams are working hard to bring Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the surrounding areas to life. These enhancements include the improvement of overall pathways to provide a great guest experience when the attraction opens later this year.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take guests on a musical adventure picking up after the events of the film, The Princess and the Frog. Guests will join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure through the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind celebration during Mardi Gras season where everyone is welcome! Along the way, guests will encounter familiar faces, make new friends, and travel through the bayou as they are brought into the next chapter of Tiana’s story.

The new attraction features original music and some familiar tunes from the beloved movie, a sweeping, colorful mural adorning the queue, and so much more. Fans can also experience The Princess and the Frog by dining at Tiana’s Palace, a quick-service restaurant serving only the finest Cajun cuisine.
