Walt Disney World and Surrounding Parks to Launch Four New Experiences This Summer

Summertime at Disney World and the surrounding parks are about to get magical this year. Four new enhancements will launch, giving guests a more immersive experience while also celebrating cinematic milestones like the 30th anniversary release of The Lion King, and much more.

At Disney Springs, drones take to the skies above Lake Buena Vista with “Disney Dreams That Soar.” This new nighttime spectacular be a late-night perk for visitors. “You can fly” takes on a whole new meaning as we showcase Disney stories celebrating the joy of flight with state-of-the-art drones choreographed to create designs in the sky and paired with a “soaring” musical score and memorable movie quotes.

“Disney Dreams That Soar” will run nightly from May 24 through September 2!

Just in time to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of The Lion King, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park will give fans and guest the chance to experience “Hakuna Maratha” in a whole new way.

“Festival of the Lion King” is a 40-minute larger-than-life show filled with songs, pageantry and puppetry celebrating the classic movie, The Lion King.

And if you are in the mood for some grub, then you can get a collectible Pumbaa popcorn bucket to add to your pride of Disney popcorn buckets.

After eating some food, guests can then head on over to Rafiki’s Planet Watch where they can meet Timon and Rafiki. Guests are encouraged to use their Disneyland app for a full schedule.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will welcome Joy from Inside Out starting June 10. The timing is perfect considering Inside Out 2 opens in theaters on June 14.

If you are heading to Epcot June 10 and September 6, then you will probably be talking about Bruno. That’s because the park will launch an all new summer sing-along called “¡Celebración Encanto!” You and your family are invited to sing along with some of your favorite songs from the film. Not only that but you’ll also spot Mirabel and Bruno on the newly opened CommuniCore Plaza stage.
