We previously reported that a new action movie, starring Ke Huy Quan and Ariana DeBose, was officially in the works from 87 North (John Wick, Nobody, The Fall Guy). Well happy to say that today we got our first trailer for the film, formerly known as With Love, now titled Love Hurts.

We have eagerly been anticipating this one from the very moment it was announced. Quan’s Jackie Chan-like lightning punches won him an Oscar in Everything Everywhere All At Once. Since then we have just been dying to see him bring the thunder once more as a genuine A-list action hero. Today Universal and 87 North delivered that wish!

As you can see Quan plays a mild mannered real estate agent, who is a killer at selling houses. However, after he receives a mysterious letter from his ex (DeBose) he finds himself entangled once more with a dirty past he thought he left behind. And a ruthless gangster of a brother (Daniel Wu) hunting him down.

Love Hurts is directed by stunt coordinator and fight coordinator JoJo Eusebio, in his directorial debut. It will be hitting theaters February 7th (just in time for Valentines’ Day!)
