Creature Commandos week is rolling on folks! In the past couple of days, we debuted our conversations with Frank Grillo and showrunner Dean Lorey. Now today, in celebration of the official two-episode premiere of Creature Commandos, we’ve got two of the commandos themselves: the lovely Zoe Chao who plays Nina Mazursky and Sean Gunn, playing double duty this time around, as Weasel and G.I. Robot!

Once you tune in tonight, you’ll see that Nina and Sean are absolutely the heart of the commandos. For those unfamiliar, Nina Mazursky debuted in Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E. #1 in November 2011. In the series, she’s an amphibious humanoid member of Task Force M, similar to the Creature from the Black Lagoon, but actually, in essence, exhibits the most empathy and humanity among the rest of the team.

Gunn plays Weasel, of course, first introduced onscreen in The Suicide Squad. However, he also plays a brand new character: G.I. Robot. While there have been six G.I. Robots in the history of DC, this version ends up having an innocence to him that’s just irresistible. He’s also just great at killing Nazis, which is something we really need these days.

Together Nina and G.I. Robot form an unbreakable bond. While Weasel… uh… remains… Weasel. That said, see what they have to say about their characters and the future of the DC Universe in our interview with them right here:
