Watch the First Official Trailer for ‘Camp Rock 3’

We’re heading back to camp! In Camp Rock 3, fictional band Connect 3 is on the hunt for their newest opening act in the upcoming sequel within the Camp Rock franchise.

Taking place 18 years after the very first movie aired on the Disney Channel back in 2008, Camp Rock 3 sees Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, and Nick Jonas (as the band “Connect 3”) return alongside Maria Canals-Barrera (Connie). Based on the film’s synopsis, the trio returns to Camp Rock after their opening act drops out. The current season’s campers are invited to participate in three challenges and a final jam to try to win the open spot for the band’s sold-out tour. The film will feature newcomers Liamani Segura (Sage), Malachi Barton (Fletch), Sherry Cola (Connect 3 tour manager Lark), Brooklynn Pitts (Callie), and Hudson Stone (Desi).

The trailer highlights characters Sage, Fletch, and Desi, as they seemingly are in competition with each other to win the coveted opening act spot for Connect 3. When it comes to Sage and Fletch in particular, there are undertones of a brewing romance as Sage grapples with pursuing her love of music in the midst of friendship and relationship woes. With catchy new songs and high-energy choreography, Camp Rock 3 looks like it’ll be another hit for this Disney franchise.

Camp Rock 3 will air on the Disney Channel on August 13 and will be available on Disney+ on August 14.
