For the last several days, the award-winning cartoonist and graphic novelist MariNaomi has taken to social media to solicit names for a database of cartoonists of color she is currently assembling. And now you can help by adding your name to the list!

If you are a comic creator and/or cartoonist of color and want to be a part of the official Cartoonists of Color Database, follow this link and provide your information. It’s that easy.

Mari is currently in the process of compiling all of this information and will be publishing what is hoping to be the definitive list of comic creators of color available on the internet. Once completed, this will be a valuable resource to let the world know that diversity in comics actually exists. And when folks ask, now you’ll be able to point them in the right direction.
