From Amazon to Zombie Hunter: Samantha Win Reflects on Her Career

Samantha Win is blowing up. It’s only May, but it’s already been quite a year for the actress / martial artist / stunt performer / Amazonian warrior / zombie hunter. In March, she wrote, produced, and starred in a genre-bending shortfilm called Unwelcome. She can currently be seen on HBO Max as Euboea in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. On May 14, her latest Snyder-collab, Army of the Dead opens in theaters nationwide — making it Netflix’s widest release ever — before coming to the streamer the following week on May 21.

I got the chance to catch up with Samantha recently to look back over her career, starting as a child prodigy wushu champion in Canada before venturing to Hollywood as a stunt double and landing the iconic role of Kitana in Mortal Kombat: Legacy to her current string of Zack Snyder films culminating in her expanded role as Chambers in the director’s highly anticipated zombie heist movie.

We first met back in 2017 when Samantha spoke on a panel at the Asian American ComiCon in Los Angeles. It was such a pleasure not only catching up, but witnessing her career trajectory. We get into all of that in the video below!
