‘The Sandman’ Teaser Trailer and Premiere Date Revealed

“I am the King of Dreams,” says Dream at the beginning of the trailer. “Ruler of the Nightmare Realm.”

Fans of the Neil Gaiman comic book series The Sandman have been waiting for this for a long time. Developed by Gaiman, David S. Goyer, and Allan Heinberg, The Sandman tells the story of Dream, aka The Sandman (Tom Sturridge) finally free from being captured for 105 years in an occult ritual.

In the trailer, seen below, we get a first look at Sturridge as Dream and his kingdom. With the help of his librarian Lucienne (Vivienne Acheampong), he sees his kingdom is slowly breaking down as he’s been away for so long. Also, the The Corinthian (Boyd Holbrook), a nightmare and antagonist, has escaped the realm and is now hunting new prey. Dream must now bring back order to his kingdom – including capturing the Corinthian.

We also get a good look at Jenna Coleman as occult detective Johanna Constantine, a descendant of John Constantine, as she is told that the Sandman has returned. We also see a few of the other Endless (family of powerful beings, which includes Dream), including Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), Desire (Mason Alexander Park), and Destiny (David Thewlis). Everything just looks so beautiful. I cannot wait for this series.
