School is back in session. The teaser trailer for Paramount+’s upcoming YA series School Spirits is here, and things are about to get real spooky.

Based on the upcoming graphic novel, School Spirits stars Peyton List (Cobra Kai, Jessie) as Maddie, a teenager trapped in a high school afterlife and faced with the daunting task of solving her own murder.

Cast members in addition to List include Kristian Flores (Reboot), Spencer MacPherson (Degrassi, Reign, Astrid and Lilly Save the World), Milo Manheim (Zombies), Kiara Pichardo (The Society), Nick Pugliese (13 Reasons Why), Rainbow Wedell (The Wilds), and Sarah Yarkin (Motherland: Fort Salem, Texas Chainsaw Massacre). Oliver Goldstick (Pretty Little Liars, Bridgerton) serves as showrunner and executive producer. Max Winkler (Cruel Summer, Jungleland) directs and executive produces. Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud, who wrote the graphic novel, are also the writers behind the pilot.

School Spirits premieres March 9 on Paramount+. The first season will consist of eight episodes.
