Perhaps the single greatest horror film of all time is William Friedkin’s The Exorcist. The legacy of that film has persisted, because it has continued to terrify audiences for 50 years! Well this October, close to the 50th anniversary of the original, Universal invites you to a new demonic experience, when The Exorcist: Believer hits theaters!
And today, we got our first look at the film in the form of three really creepy posters:

The movie will be directed by Halloween reboot filmmaker David Gordon Green, and produced by Jason Blum’s Blumhouse. It’s said to be part of the original continuity of the current franchise, versus a remake, essentially making it something of a legacy sequel.
Legendary actress, Ellen Burstyn, reprises her Academy Award nominated role of Chris MacNeil, mother of original Pazuzu victim Regan MacNeil. The new movie also stars Oscar nominee/Tony winner, Leslie Odom Jr. and Emmy winner Ann Dowd.
The horror begins Friday, October 13!
