Joel Kim Booster Talks ‘Loot’ Season 2 and What to Expect Before the Season Finale

Joel Kim Booster takes on the role of Nicholas in Apple TV’s original series Loot starring Maya Rudolph as Molly Wells. Joel plays Molly’s right hand and ride-or-die assistant in the show. He diligently caters to her every whim… and occasionally feeds her a kale smoothie spiked with gin.

“It’s fast and funny and really hits home,” the actor and comedian said over Zoom. “A lot of the stuff that we been talking about and the messages we been getting across — there’s a lot of big swings.”

“There’s a scene where Maya and I are fighting going back and forth and it starts off with both of us saying okay, but it turns into us doing some bizarre acting exercises like meisner acting exercises,” Booster said. “That day was really fun because they really let us off the leash at a certain point in that scene. You get to see some of it in the final edit, but you don’t get to see all of it. It was a real moment where I felt really finally comfortable playing with Maya Rudolph on that level.”
