From singing and dancing to drumming with a solo number, Casey Trotter electrifies the screen with his performance as Cliff in Camp Rock 3, the newest installment in the Camp Rock franchise. We had a chance to chat about his early beginnings, learning how to drum, and what his film preparation was like.

Every song is instantly made better when you have a solid percussionist on the kit. Luckily for Disney, they didn’t have to look far when it comes to Casey Trotter. From picking up drumsticks as a toddler to playing in bands, Trotter’s drumming career has led him to his shining moment as Cliff in Camp Rock 3. The fun-loving, dad-joke-ready friend in the group, Cliff exudes both a wonderful sense of humor and the ability to showcase his softer side in moments like his campfire scene with Rosie (Lumi Pollack) and the overnight bus challenge with the crew. In his solo number at the end, we see Cliff put on an impressive show of his performance abilities, balancing singing, dancing, and drumming for his number “My Own Drum.”
