The Rock Teases First Look at ‘Black Adam’ in Costume

This morning, Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram to tease his followers with a sneak peek at his Black Adam costume. With production on the film wrapping up, it’s hard to believe the film — which has been in development for nearly as long as this website has been around — is actually happening.

Though we don’t get to see much, we are able to see some of the textural detail that will be a part of his suit. It also makes sense why the costume design in the Shazam sequel was upgraded if Zachary Levi is expected to go up against The Rock one day.

Speaking of Shazam, it’s hard to think Johnson was throwing shade at his future rival when he said, “this is not your typical DC or Marvel padded muscle suit.”

If ya smell what Black Adam is cookin’.

Black Adam is expected in theaters in exactly one year — July 2022.
