Don Lee Battles Humans and Monsters in Netflix’s ‘Badland Hunters’

Actor Don Lee — also known as Dong-seok Ma– is many things: actor, strongman, and even the guy you use to get your deliveries sent to you quicker. But, in Netflix’s upcoming dystopian film Badland Hunters, Lee plays Nam-san, a wasteland hunter who protects his community, after a post-earthquake transformed Seoul into an apocalyptic wasteland.

He is tasked to lead a group of survivors to find a mad doctor (Lee Hee-joon) who has been creating monsters (almost, zombies), and only he has the cure.

Directed by Myung-haeng Heo, the film is set in the same universe as the 2023 Korean film Concrete Utopia, which stars Byun-hyung Lee and Seo-joon Park. Yet, the difference is there are monsters included in this film — and Lee kicks so much human and monster butt, it’s insane.

Badland Hunters releases on January 26 on Netflix.
