Celebrate 4-4 Day with ‘The Fantastic Four’

We are over a year away from the release of Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four. But in spite of that, the marketing campaign is just starting to… heat up!

The last official look we got of the core four was Valentine’s Day, when the cast was officially announced. We got our first glimpses of the characters, including a “flame off” version of Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm. Well flame on folks because released this morning via social is our official first look at Johnny in his Human Torch form!

Check it out right here:

The first look is official artwork from Marvel Head of Visual Development, Ryan Meinerding. If you look closely the buildings in the background have a very Jetsons-inspired look and feel. This obviously confirms what Marvel Studios has discussed before — that this is going to take place in an alternate universe from the main Earth-199999 MCU continuity. Which means — for all the trolls out there — IT’S OK TO HAVE A FEMALE SILVER SURFER!

Additionally, there’s a link to an official page on Marvel.com that leads to a cute 404 page with a closer look at H.E.R.B.I.E, the iconic Fantastic Four robot!

But taking a closer look at the bot, you’ll see a faint QR code that, when clicked, leads you to a Future Foundation page with five free issues of Fantastic Four that you can read. These are the first appearances of The Fantastic Four, Galactus, and The Silver Surfer, and the ‘60s inspired Fantastic Four: Life Story, all of which hint at what the movie’s plot may be inspired by.

The Fantastic Four hits theaters July 25, 2025!
